The Snowy Egret

I started this painting back in probably February or March of this year. It's mostly geometric shapes but once I started to paint the feathers and leaves that should be under and around the bird I got demotivated because it's a lot of detail work.

I don't know why I just stop painting something when the end result is going to be so great. I've had a few people ask me if I'd sell it or if I'd be willing to part with it and the answer was always 'no way!'

My friend Kelly had her birthday in July and I decided that she should have it. Unfortunately, I didn't finish it in time. Just another way my procrastination is horribly inconvenient for me and even other people.

It should only take me a day or two to finish it. We'll see.

Let's Do It!!!

I'm not good at starting blogs or journals so I'll just jump right in.

I'm a 22 year old artist. I paint and when I feel motivated and can be bothered, I finish my paintings. It's hard being an artist and a procrastinator with the attention span of a ferret on crack all at the same time. Basically, I have about two dozen paintings that need to be finished.

I'm going to write about the frustrations of being a procrastinating and twitterpated artist, as well as the joys and excitement of finishing my art.

Certain paintings that I'm going to feature pictures of will also be on sale. Drop me a comment if you're interested in purchasing a painting and I'll give you the info you need.

I hope everyone enjoys and can be entertained... even if just a little.
